History of Compass

Located in Parkville Missouri on Highway 9, Compass Lodge sits like a beacon to weary brothers who travelled the "wide Missouri" working the riverboats and barges that came north from Kansas City. Once a stop for traffic on the busy Missouri River, Parkville now owes much of it business traffic to a handful of outstanding restrauants and bestros as well as unique gift shops that attract shoppers from all over the Kansas City area. Parkville is also home to Park University with a diversified student population from countries around the world.

Compass Lodge No. 120, A.F.&A.M. of Parkville, was the third Lodge to erect its Altar in Platte County, being chartered May 10, 1850. It meets each month on the 1st Monday at 6:30 pm for a potluck dinner followed by their meeting at 7:30 pm. All Master Masons and their wives are welcome.

Domino's for the ladies during the meeting!
